GINES SANCHEZ

The author was born in Murcia in 1967 and has a degree in Law. He worked as a lawyer for ten years until his uncertainties led him to leave it all in 2001 and travel the world. He has lived in Ireland for a number of years and has also spent time in Sicily, Mexico and Costa Rica, doing a variety of jobs. After a stunning debut with 'Lobisón', for which he won the Fnac New Talent prize, Ginés Sánchez won the 9th Premio Tusquets novel prize with his second novel, 'Los gatos pardos' ('The Brown Cats'). The jury praised 'the narrative vigour of the three convincing stories that intertwine on the same summer's night, told at a credibly frantic pace'. This was followed by 'Entre los vivos' ('Among The Living'), his third novel, which confirmed him as a writer of undeniable talent.
