Franco Félix (Hermosillo, Mexico, 1981) studied Hispanic literature and is a humanities teacher. His work has featured in publications including Vice, La Tempestad, Tierra Adentro, Luvina, Pez Banana and Diez4 among others. He won the chronicle category of the 2014 Sonorense book competition with Kafka en traje de baño (‘Kafka in his Bathing Suit’, Nitro/Press, 2015) and also won the bi-national Border of Words youth novel prize in 2015 for Los gatos de Schrödinger (‘Schrödinger’s Cats’). His published titles include Kafka en traje de baño (‘Kafka in his Bathing Suit’, Nitro/Press, 2015), Los gatos de Schrödinger (‘Schrödinger’s Cats’, Tierra Adentro, 2015), Mil monos muertos (‘A Thousand Dead Monkeys’, Buap, 2017) and Maten a Darwin (‘Let Them Kill Darwin’, Caballo de Troya). He was a member of the National System of Mexican Artistic Creators (2017-2020) and is currently completing a PhD in humanities at the University of Sonora.
