The author currently works for RTVA and is a graduate of journalism with masters degrees in Television and Equality, and a postgraduate qualification in International Information and the South. She has collaborated with organisations such as Amnesty International and Ayuda en Acción. She has helped run and written for Pikara Magazine. The author won the Manuel Castillo Prize (2011) for "No habrá Haití sin haitianas" (There would be no Haiti without Haitians) and the Joan Gomis Prize (Justice and Peace) for her article, "una revolución lenta pero irreversible" (A slow but irreversible revolution). She has also published "La revolución de las agujas" (The Needle Revolution) and for kids, "La abuelita de chocolate" (The Chocolate Granny).
