Cristina Oleby (the writer): I received the 6th International Enric Solbes picture book prize (awarded by the publisher Bromera) for my book “La Fuga” (The escape), illustrated by Pablo Pino, and three of my books have been selected by the Cuatrogatos Foundation in Miami as one of their top 100 books: “El alce negro” (The black elk) and “Oso blanco, oso marron”(White bear, brown bear) in 2020; and “Francisca” (Francisca) in 2021.

Sonja Wimmer (the illustrator): Sonja loves to paint and tell stories. After studying design and working as a designer in her native Munich and in Brussels, she decided to take her suitcase and move to Barcelona to study illustration at the Llotja Advanced School of Design and Art. Since then, she has lived among paintbrushes and stories, working as a freelance illustrator for various publishers and other clients across the world. Over the last few years some of her books have received prizes in the USA.
