Blanca Baltés’ focus is on development and writing, both her own and other people’s. Curious and enterprising, she combines creativity with teaching and cultural promotion, primarily in theatre arts. In recent years she has ventured into graphology and has founded La Chispa Blanca, a space from which she produces fiction and non-fiction in audio format. Her dramatic writing encompasses various genres and styles (children’s, comedy, dance-theatre, documentary theatre…) Mamá todavía no sabe (‘Mummy Still Doesn’t Know’) is her first narrative piece. Blanca Baltés has a PhD in literature (Special Thesis Prize 2013) and a degree in journalism from UCM and in theatre studies from RESAD. She has written and staged a dozen theatre pieces between 2003 (Oráculo a medias (‘Half-baked Oracle’)) and 2018 (Beatriz Galindo en Estocolmo (‘Beatriz Galindo in Stockholm’)).
