Berta has always had a pea-sized bladder. Thanks to this, her parents got to know a huge number of motorway service stations, well, Berta could never make it through a journey without having to stop at least twice—even three times. She would never confess to picking her nose, but she does, when she’s on her own, using her little finger as that strikes her as more refined. She doesn’t eat her bogies, thank goodness, but she’s also never said what she does do with those little balls of snot—which is a bit worrying. She accepted Juan’s (our editor’s) enthusiastic and slightly crazy suggestion to create this book as she’d already illustrated another one with him: “Cambio climático” (Climate change). She had no idea what she was getting into, but admits it was a very interesting journey and that she’s learned a lot. Her illustration work has been selected for show at fairs across the world in Italy, the UK, China, the United Arab Emirates, Portugal, Serbia…
