Baltasar Magro studied Humanities, and, later, journalism at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He has worked as a scriptwriter on cultural, documentary and entertainment shows and as a director of public information broadcasts for various television companies for more than thirty years. He began his career in literature in 2000 with the novel 'El círculo de Juanelo' ('Juanelo's Circle'), which went through various editions and was very well received by the critics. He has since published eight further titles, including 'La hora de Quevedo' ('The Quevedo Hour'), 'En el corazón de la ciudad levítica' ('In the Heart of the City of Leviticus') and 'La luz del Guernica' ('The Light of Guernica')
