Antonio Orejudo (Madrid 1963) is a doctor of Hispanic Philology and taught Spanish literature for seven years in north American universities. He was a visiting researcher at the University of Amsterdam, and today is full professor at the University of Almería. He is the author of the novels 'Fabulosas narraciones por historias' (Fabulous Narratives Through Histories) (Premio Tigre Juan 1977), 'Ventajas de viajar en tren' (The Advantages of Travelling by Train) (XV Premio Andalucía de Novela), Reconstrucción (Reconstruction) (described as 'the most impressive Spanish book of the year' in Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and 'Un momento de descanso' (A Moment's Rest), which have made him one the most original and admired writers in contemporary Spanish literature.
