Anna Ballbona (Montmeló, 1980) works as an editor for the newspaper El Punt Avui and for other media outlets, such as the magazine El Temps. She has published two books of poetry: 'Conill de gàbia' ('Caged Rabbit') (LaBreu Edicions, 2012) and La mare que et renyava era un robot' ('The Mother Who Scolded You Was A Robot') (winner of the Premio Amadeu Oller for young poets, Galerada, 2008). In 2009 she won the Premio Salvador Reynaldos journalism prize. In 2014 she was selected for the writers residency at Ledig House in New York State where she worked on 'Joyce and the Chickens', her first novel.
