Andrés Barba (Madrid, 1975) burst onto the scene in 2001 with the novel La hermana de Katia (shortlisted for the Herralde Prize), which was very well received by readers and critics alike, followed by Ahora tocad música de baile, Versiones de Teresa (Torrente Ballester Prie), Las manos pequeñas y Agosto, octubre y the novelas La recta intención y Ha dejado de llover. He is also author of El libro de las caídas in collaboration with the painter Pablo Angulo.
