Ana Gerhard is a concert pianist. She studied at the Ars Nova academy in Barcelona, Lausanne Conservatory – where she won an award from the Swiss government – and the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico. She has given soloist recitals and chamber music concerts in Mexico, Spain, France and Switzerland, and alongside her performance career she has also made radio series for Radio Education and Opus 94, as well directing the puppet theatre company Allegro Scherzando. With Océano Tavesía she has published The Birds, Fantastic Beings, and Water, from the collection Concert Music. Gerhard won the Parents’ Choice Award 2016 with Water: An Introduction to Concert Music.
