Born and raised in Albacete, Ana Andreu Baquero has a degree in English Philology from the University of Murcia and and a degree in Translation and Interpretation from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. In addition to Spanish, her mother tongue, she speaks English, Italian, German, and Catalan. She has worked for years in teaching and book translation. As a writer, she published in 2010 What Robinson Crusoe told Lolita, a book of anecdotes and literary curiosities. Her debut as a historical novelist came with The Princess of Buchenwald. She currently resides in Barcelona, although she has lived for long periods of her life in Great Britain, Germany and Italy.
