Amanda Lemos: I have spent the last few years writing commissioned texts on topics as different and interesting as technology, society, cinema, music, travel, publicity… I was waiting for the opportunity to do what I love most: writing for children. Susana Rico: At the age of four she won fourth prize for drawing in a category of a province-wide competition; at ten she came second in a regional writing competition with a Christmas story; and at twenty-seven, she became a mum for the first time… From then on she had one thing clear: she wanted to dedicate herself to entertaining boys and girls, make them smile, invent stories for them and also draw them. She did various creative writing courses, and for over ten years, has divided her time between organising children's entertainment and literary creation.
