Álvaro Valderas (La Bañeza, 1965), has a PhD in Hispanic literature, and has been a dj, administrator, secondary school teacher and university lecturer, a television producer, and a publicity creative and editor, with more than a hundred publications from Latin American authors. He has worked in numerous communications media in Spain and Panama, and in addition to research publications and some 20 collective books, he has published three story collections (Gory Book, León: Diputación de León, 1990; Bloogy Mary; León: Ediciones del Curueño, 1998; Disturbing Tales, Epublibre, 2013) and a noir novel (Noriega's Gold, Madrid: De Librum Tremens, 2011).
