Alicia Hernández Luján (Madrid, 1973) has a degree in Philosophy and Educational Sciences from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a qualification in English as a Foreign Language from the University of Cork, Ireland. Her first publication, in 2008, was the short story "The Measurer of Love" which, along with work by other authors, appeared in the book "Stories to Make You Smile". Her stories for children bring together two of her great passions: writing and drawing. She began drawing when she was young and later began to put words to her illustrations. She is now a consultant and trainer in personal/professional skills for adults and a children's English teacher. Through her job she has learned that reading stories can be a valuable aid to education and learning, as well as arousing people's creativity.
