Alex Nogués is a writer and geologist specialising in groundwater and paleontology. He currently lives with his family in the friendly paradise of the Empordanet. In his writing he is drawn to the interplay of words and images. Like any other child, he dreams of impossible things until he finds proof to the contrary. Guridi was born in Seville and studied painting at the Facultad de Bellas Artes in that city; since then he has worked in almost every field of image, printing, design and advertising. Since 2010, he has focused on children's editorial illustration and posters, as well as teaching illustration and creativity workshops. Some of his almost sixty books have been translated into more than nine languages and he has received important awards and recognitions such as a Special Mention in the BRAW (BolognaRagazzi Awards) in 2018.
