My parent's missionary work took as all the way to Cameroon when I was only just seven years old. There I discovered a new world, in which I felt strangely comfortable, in my element. I had the opportunity to enjoy total cultural immersion, throughout the brief thirteen month period we spent in the north of the country, in the midst of the savannah (close to the border with Chad which was then at war), and over the rest of the eight years we spent in the central-southern region, amongst the rural population, surrounded by jungle. The Cameroonian tradition was and still is predominantly oral, and I soon realised that if I wanted the people I knew to keep telling me their stories and legends I would have to begin sharing mine with them. Since that point I have not stopped writing stories. I live in Cantabria, in the beautiful town of Selaya.
