Alba Quintas Garciandia (Madrid, 1994) was written novels, poetry and plays. She graduated in Humanities from the Universidad Carlos II, Madrid. She made her debut in the world a young adult fiction with the Premio Internacional Jordi Sierra i Fabra for the novel Al otro lado de la pantalla (On the Other Side of the Screen; SM), which came out in 2012, and was then translated into German. A year later, she published Globe and in 2015 won the Special Prize in the Caixa/Plataforma Editorial competition for La chica del león negro (The Black Lion's Girl; Plataforma Neo). Her most recent novel, The Fire Flower (Nocturna, 2017) is a fictional account of the killings in Columbine. She presently works in the world of theatre and leads narrative writing workshops.
