Agustín Pery Riera (Cadiz, 1971) studied Information Sciences. For 23 years he worked on the newspaper El Mundo, where he held a variety of positions. In 2007 he was appointed editor of El Mundo/El Día de Baleares and, until 2013, he and his team uncovered a number of scandals involving the most serious cases of political corruption in the history of Mallorca. The fruit of these experiences is Moscas (Flies), his first novel. He now lives in Madrid and works on the daily newspaper ABC.
