AGUSTÍN GONZÁLEZ RUIZ has a Doctorate in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid and continued his studies at the Universities of Salzburg and Munich, from which has a Doctorate in Logic and Theory of Science. He has been teaching philosophy in secondary schools since 2000. Along with his brother Fernando he is co-author of the textbooks: Philosophy (Akal, 2002), Philosophy and Citizenship (Akal, 2008), Ethical-civic education (Akal, 2008) and History of Philosophy (Akal, 2009). In 2018, he published Why is science scientific? (Madrid, El País), which has also been translated into Italian. FERNANDO GONZÁLEZ RUIZ graduated in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid and has been teaching philosophy in secondary schools since 1996. He is the author of various textbooks, including Philosophy (Akal, 2002) and Philosophy and Citizenship (Akal, 2008).
