Destino Infantil & Juvenil is one of the favourite imprints for young readers, with highly successful collections including Las Crónicas de Narnia, Las Fieras del Fútbol, Geronimo Stilton and La Isla del Tiempo. It also publishes the series Arcanus, on mystery, magic and adventure; Buscafieras, on fantasy, action and adventure; Nosolochicas, aimed at girls aged 11 to 13 years, and Tea Stilton, with the stories of Geronimo Stilton’s sister. Special attention is deserved by the titles Tierra de Dragones, by J. A. Owen, and Un puente hacia Terabithia, by Katherine Paterson, a young people’s literature classic that won the Newberry Prize.
For smaller children, Destino Infantil & Juvenil offers illustrated picturebooks of great quality. Among its bestsellers are the books on Las Tres Mellizas, the series about the character Dodó or the picturebooks of Babette Cole. Moreover, every year Destino awards the Destino Infantil-Apel•les Mestres Prize for illustrated literature which, with over twenty-five years of history, has distinguished authors and illustrators as well-known as Carme Solé Vendrell, Fernando Krahn, Lorenzo Silva, Emili Teixidor, Philip Stanton, Carmen Posadas, Jesús Gabán, Blanca Álvarez, Carmen García Iglesias, Gabriela Keselman and Claudia Ranucci.
