Elsa Veiga has a degree in Spanish Language from the Autónoma University, Madrid. In the last years she has worked in communication, editing and proofreading for various publishing houses. Her stories have received several literary awards and been published in cultural journals. Her story "El verano de Tom Sawyer" (Tom Sawyer's Summer) was a finalist in the 27th Ana María Matute prize for Women's literature sponsored by Ediciones Torremozas (2015). She has also published a book of poetry entitled "Manejemos la pena" (We Handle the Shame, Ediciones Torremozas, 2016).
