Dora and Violeta Oliver, two sisters with an ambiguous relationship, live an solitary life in a house on the outskirts of a community. The members of the community have gathered around a large house resembling a beehive, seeking a self-sufficient lifestyle far from civilisation. Then one day, one of the Oliver sisters approaches Denis, a shy boy hounded by a murky past that stretches back over several generations, and she disappears. In this isolated place, dominated by the omnipresent natural world, which also establishes its own norms, a woman called Anita is in charge of maintaining balance and normality, or at least on the surface. So, between insects, the earth and the dense vegetation, everything seems ordinary and calm. An idyllic way of life that for some becomes an oppressive trap.
