This bilingual edition brings together 185 poems, previously unpublished in Spain, by Emily Dickinson, one of the most widely read English language poets in our country. The poems are grouped by the date in which they were written, and accompanied by elegant paper cutting artworks by Lucila Biscione. Her art work, delicate and original, is very much in tune with Dickinson's characteristic restraint and broken syntax, which do nothing to impair the beauty, the paradoxes, and the attention to detail present in her poems. The Argentinian artist creates poetic pieces that seem born of a dream, making use of the possibilities that paper cutting gives her: “Paper cutting allows me to fold, take advantage of transparencies, work in layers. It is a very versatile medium, and gives me the option to create depth and play with shadows." Through her painstaking efforts, she creates a floating fantasy world.
