From an early age he wrote short stories for comics and, later on, Western novels under the pseudonym Silver Kane. For his first two novels he used the pseudonym Enrique Muriel. He has worked as a journalist on El Correo de Catalunya and later on La Vanguardia, where he ultimately became editor-in-chief.
His genre is the detective novel with a social bent, with a central character, detective Méndez, and Barcelona as the setting. He has a lively, fluid style with the narrative based around short sentences.
