Harold Jiménez Canizales is an artist who was born in Colombia. He recieved a degree in fine arts in Cali, his home city, and has exhibited work in various galleries and museums. In 1999 he was awarded one of three grants to study for a masters in animation at the University of the Balearic Islands offered by the Agencia Española de Cooperación Iberoamericana (Spanish Agency for Ibero-American Cooperation) to young artists from throughout Latin America. He has lived in Palma de Mallorca ever since and currently works full time on his passion: illustration. He won the 2016 Apila Primera Impresión prize and the Fundación Cuatrogatos prize for his picture book 'Guapa' ('Pretty'). Winner of the Boolino prize for his project entitled 'El sombrero de Bruno' ('Bruno's Hat') (November 2016).
